Villa Senaya

The pool and rooms were well maintained, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and high quality. The friendly, attentive staff were helpful and provided good service. I traveled there nearly a month ago, and Villa Sanaya stood out for its comfort, service, and relaxing environment. The facilities added to the stay, which made for an easy place to unwind. I’d recommend it for a comfortable, relaxed vacation.

The rooms and garden were in great shape, with comfortable furnishings and a lovely atmosphere, so the villa itself could have made for a wonderful stay. But the owner was angry and furious from the moment we arrived, and the unfriendly, restrictive treatment overshadowed everything. Some rules hadn’t been explained beforehand: no pool after 7 PM, no smoking inside, and no liquor at the dinner table. We also faced extra charges for using the kitchen and living room A/C, which hadn’t been mentioned before we arrived. We’d planned to cook some meals, and the owner wouldn’t stick to the prices discussed earlier, adding stress and inconvenience. Clarify every term before booking. This place could be so good with different management.

The villa was lovely, but this was the worst customer experience I’ve had. Pool access ended at 7 PM, and the dining area was closed to us after 10 PM. It felt more like boot camp than a holiday. Check all the rules and fees carefully before booking if you don’t want unexpected surprises.

We can’t wait to return to Villa Senaya in Galle. The pool and garden were ideal places to relax, and breakfast was delightful. Our rooms were spotless and well equipped, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. It exceeded our expectations.
