Beach House Habaraduwa

When the food finally arrived after nearly two hours, my rice came with just three pieces of chicken. Some of the beers we received weren’t cold, either. We also saw staff going to a nearby shop for ingredients.

The hotel rooms were clean and each had its own charming design, which made them feel cozy. It was easy to get to the private beach, a peaceful spot to unwind. Beach House restaurant had a serene atmosphere and a soothing beach view. We enjoyed the varied menu, especially the flavorful soups, which were presented beautifully. The food was very good, and the whole stay and meal were delightful.

The food was awful, and we’d already waited an hour and fifteen minutes for it, so it was too late to go somewhere else. A dessert arrived while our main courses were still on the table, and then the bill came without us asking, as if they wanted to close. They added a tip despite the poor service and food. We’d come with family. It took over 30 minutes to get gin and tonics, and only the tonics arrived at first. They said there was no gin and offered rum or wine instead. The gin showed up 15 minutes later. What a mistake. We definitely won’t be back.

A great budget hotel right by the beach, where you can swim in the big waves or go surfing. The restaurant food was delicious, and having breakfast included with the room was a lovely surprise.
