Happy Beach Guest House

Stepping straight from the room onto the sand was one of the best parts of my stay at Happy Beach Hotel. The beach was clean and well maintained, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, and the ocean views were beautiful. My room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed, plus fresh towels and toiletries replenished each day. There was also a swimming pool, restaurant, and bar. The staff were extremely friendly and did all they could to make the visit enjoyable. I had a wonderful, relaxing beach stay and would recommend the hotel.

The owner makes an excellent breakfast and a wonderful dinner, especially the Sri Lankan fish. The hotel is in a very good spot if you want quiet and the sound of the ocean, but the rooms weren't very clean. Thank you 🇱🇰

We loved the delicious dinner the owner made, and the beach and sunsets were beautiful. This was one of our favorite places in Srí Lanka, with a more laid-back feel than the four-star hotels we'd stayed in. The rooms were fine for relaxing and sleeping. We always carry insect repellent, and needed it here too.

Breakfast was served at our own table on the sand, and the owner cooked fresh fish and salad on the barbecue right in front of our bungalow. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The bungalows sit on a long, completely empty stretch of beach, about a ten-minute walk from town along quiet streets. It was stunning, wonderfully affordable, and such a magical find. Highly recommended!
