La Pentera

The treehouse was the best part, beautifully designed and cozy, with stunning views of nature all around. It felt like a fairytale, and we could hardly believe it. We spent two nights at La Pentera and felt worlds away. Our private BBQ under the stars was the most romantic meal we’ve ever had, and we spotted peacocks and lovely birds from the balcony. We also enjoyed a private canoe ride on Hambegamuwa Lake and a peaceful village walk near the Walawe River. The serene setting and thoughtful staff made this romantic getaway one we’ll cherish.

The staff made our stay special. They were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a warm smile, and every meal was perfect. Our BBQ dinner under the stars was a lovely family moment. My wife, our two kids, and I spent two nights at La Pentera, and the whole visit was unforgettable. The kids loved swimming and playing in the Walawe River, and making traditional rotti with the staff was fun and authentic. The Udawalawe Safari was thrilling, especially seeing elephants up close.
