Vantage hills Haputale

Two nights didn't feel like enough. I loved the hotel's location and the stunning views from every corner. The staff were so friendly, and our package included a delicious breakfast. Our Sri Lankan breakfast came without fruit, though, which was a bit sad. They didn’t clean the room during our stay of more than one night, but that was fine with us. There’s a large poster at reception showing nearby attractions to visit. It’s about a 400-500 m walk from the hotel to a restaurant. The hotel can also provide dinner, but you need to let them know in advance, before 5pm. I highly recommend the place. There’s some room to add entertainment, like billiards or a swing, which would be nice. I’d love to come back and stay again, ideally for at least five nights.

The food was exceptional, the view breathtaking, and the hospitality warm and welcoming. Everything from start to finish made for a memorable experience. Highly recommend for the scenery, great meals, and lovely service.

We came to Haputale for its cool, lovely climate and the balcony views, and really enjoyed our stay at this small hotel. The setting was amazing, and the rooms were beautiful. A note for anyone driving: the road in is really steep. Also, when we were there, the swimming pool was too cold for a swim.

Our best hotel stay in Sri Lanka. We loved the comfortable rooms, the views, and the food, and the staff were knowledgeable, kind, and genuine. Breakfast and dinner were superb, with lots of vegetables grown in the plot beside the hotel. Haputale itself is quiet, surrounded by beautiful countryside and tea plantations. The staff were spot on in suggesting Lipton’s seat at dawn and arranging a very reasonably priced return Tuk Tuk. Idyllic.
