We came just for the sunbeds and cocktails, but this is a perfect spot for a relaxing day by the sea. The beds have canopies and feel more private than the stretch nearer the turtles. You can still walk up to see them if you want, and nobody was trying to sell us things. The sea is warm and safe here. Come here for a nice, private, relaxing day instead of entering through 'Turtle Beach', where you'll get fleeced and hassled to buy things.

We had a lovely dinner while watching the sunset, with helpful staff and nobody else around. The location was beautiful and the food delicious, probably the best we've had in Sri Lanka so far. There were great vegetarian choices at a reasonable price. The veggie curry came with four separate dishes, enough for two people, and every one was tasty. Highly recommend!

This place felt like paradise. We stayed in a bungalow right by the beach, with waves audible just outside the window. It was amazing, and there were sea turtles all over the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was very happy with our stay.

The cabanas are beautiful, traditionally built, and date back to 1990. They're comfortable, clean and well maintained, set beside the sea in a lovely natural setting. Mrs. Deepika and her excellent team manage the property, and their consistent service really adds to the hospitality. The food is delicious and fresh, with very reasonable prices. We're grateful to the whole team for the wonderful time we had at Galawatha Beach Resort, and we'll definitely be back soon.

This quiet resort is well placed, about 20 minutes from Galle and next door to Turtle Beach. The bungalows are beautiful and on the beach, with reasonable prices. The restaurant serves international-standard food, and staff were friendly, professional and relaxed. They seemed genuinely keen to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I slept better here than anywhere, especially after an amazing massage they offer. It really was pure paradise. Can't wait to return and spend more time there. Highly recommended!
