The Quale Villa

We stayed for 5 days, and the administration was the best. Everything is nearby, and the breakfast was good every time. Very good hotel. Thanks for the service.

We liked the restaurant, where the food was really tasty for lunch or dinner, and the pool was cleaned regularly. There’s a chill out area upstairs with a view over rice fields where you can spot peacocks and herons. Our room was clean, the Wi-Fi was ok, and we couldn’t hear the neighbors through the walls. The friendly, helpful staff came to our aid many times. Great hotel. When we visit Sri Lanka again, we’ll try to stay here.

The price was very reasonable, and there were plenty of spots worth taking photos of. It was a great place to relax, with a calm atmosphere and a well-kept pool. We had a great stay at this villa, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

That pool view was incredible, and the location was excellent for diving and getting to the beach, just a 10-minute drive to Unawatuna, with no noise from the hustle and bustle. We stayed six nights, the longest stretch of our four weeks in Sri Lanka, and the staff really did try to make us comfortable. When our TV gave us trouble, they replaced it with a new one and installed it right away. There were a few things that could be better. The hot water for showers was hit or miss, and sometimes we heard staff cleaning or other guests. The bedding felt rough, almost like paper, and we were puzzled to find a single sheet on a double bed instead of a proper double sheet. The internet was unreliable during peak hours, so I had to use mobile data for business. It’s a very new property, and some things weren’t fully in place yet. Laundry service wasn’t advertised, but after some negotiation they accommodated our request. The property doesn’t have an alcohol license, which seemed inconsistent to us, especially with empty alcohol bottles displayed in reception. I asked for a mocktail, and those bottles could give guests mixed messages.
