This restored ancestral home has high walls for privacy and feels cool inside, with fans for airflow and air conditioning in every bedroom. There's a huge dining room, a separate lounge, a well-equipped kitchen, and three showers and toilets. Outside, the garden is spacious and has a pool. It's a short walk to Hikkaduwa's beach and markets, and only about five minutes on foot from the railway station. Highly recommended.

A peaceful place to stay with the family. We really enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the swimming pool was great for relaxing after the beach. One of the best places I've been with my family, and I'd recommend this villa.

We stayed here on 24.05.2024 and had a great time. The villa was calm and very clean, and it was easy to get into town or to Food city, Railway station hikkaduwa, and the ATMs. The owner was a friendly and helpful lady. I'd recommend a visit and a stay.

Chaminda, please don't accuse us of things we didn't do. We paid for our driver's accommodation during the trip, and asked if he could stay at your place because your price was already on the high side. Even after paying more, we had to share our bathroom with him, which didn't feel fair. We weren't trying to stay an extra two days. We only politely asked for a slightly later checkout because we had an early morning scuba dive. We understood you had guests arriving and you could have simply explained that. Instead, you said, “that's not my problem,” and hung up. Your check-in at 3 pm and checkout at 11 am are quite different from most places. Our plans ran late, so we arrived after 8:30 pm. If we'd wanted to get the full use of the place for what we paid, we'd have arrived on time. We'd just had a long journey and asked for a little extra time. The bathrooms are very small, and with several guests that becomes a problem. I don't think the place is suitable for eight people, and telling the truth about that shouldn't offend you. Our driver said you called us Indian beggars, and your sister called us mannerless to our faces, so let's not get into who is lying. We also disagree that water left sitting for a long time is filtered or pure. I admit we left some plates on the table because we checked in late and were tired. After being welcomed so rudely, it was hard to feel much respect for the place. If you've been in this business since 2002 and charge cleaning fees on every booking, you shouldn't accuse us over that. Your sister also told us directly to fold the bedsheets before checkout. The Airbnb rules didn't say the pool couldn't be used after 6 pm. We used it after checking in at 8:30 pm, and your sister was angry and said it wasn't allowed after 6. It felt like you had a problem with us from the start and clearly had a problem with Indians. I met many humble and considerate Srilankan people on my trip, but this stay was a bitter disappointment. Be humble and peaceful.
