Sachin, the son who manages the place, is a lovely gentleman and a real professional, and the staff were kind and good too. This is one of Hikkaduwa’s oldest, well-regarded properties, run by a father and son. There’s a beautiful pool area, garden space across a large property, and big comfortable rooms with pantry facilities. I don't know another hotel of this kind in Hikkaduwa with so much space. Highly recommend booking here without hesitation.

Whenever I return to Sri Lanka, I make sure to spend a couple of nights at Blue Fox. It feels like home ❤️ The staff are simply the BEST. Wishing you all a great season and many more successful years. Blue Fox is right in the center of the Hikka tourist area, near the beach but set away from the main street noise. There are plenty of good restaurants close by. The rooms are comfortable, the terrace/balcony is huge, and the grounds are green and well maintained.

I was there for a function and everything looked good. It's a nice spot, a little way from the beach and close to a railway crossing.

The staff were friendly and ready to help, and they arranged a transfer to Wiligama when the hotel's own transport was busy. Rooms were cleaned daily. The grounds felt quiet and secure: the gates close at night, a guard patrols, and there are surveillance cameras. There are lots of places to eat, but further from the hotel towards Weligama. Shops nearby close at 9 pm and restaurant kitchens stop at 10 pm, so keep that in mind. We were unsure what to expect because the photos and reviews hadn't been updated in a long time after the pandemic. The hotel is a bit older, but the room, restaurant, and pool were all in excellent condition. The pool was clean and cleaned twice a week, though there were only 2 sunbeds. It isn't lit at night, but you can still swim with light from one lantern. The rooms had everything we needed, even an iron. Air conditioning and the fan both worked well, and there was hot water 24/7. Insect repellent was provided in every room. One downside is there isn't a work table. Also, when paying in rupees, the hotel uses an exchange rate from exchangers rather than the official bank rate.

The rooms were really spacious and clean, and the staff pleasant and helpful. Every room has its own balcony with a table and chairs, looking out over the lovely lawn, bamboo, and banana trees. The whole property is amazing. It's about 5 minutes from the main road and beach. WiFi reception could be better, but close to the router it was fine for checking emails. Hopefully they'll improve it.
