Boutique Villa Shanthi

The people who served us were some of the nicest and friendliest ever. This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere, with a peaceful, beautiful atmosphere that felt just right for a quiet, relaxing holiday. It felt secluded but still connected. The owner teaches yoga, and that healthy, calming feel runs through the place. The homemade jam and the pool with less chlorine, cleaned every single morning, were the kind of details you don't often find. Definitely worth experiencing, and go before it gets more recognized.

Lady Verena made our stay feel especially cared for. She was attentive, happy to help in any way, full of advice about places to visit, and a true classy lady. We felt pampered, but also somehow at home with ourselves and with the people from Villa Shanthi. The villa was a special place that rounded off our journey in Sri Lanka perfectly. We could disconnect from the hectic world, recharge, and find a sense of balance. The furniture and decorations showed impeccable taste, the service was excellent, and the cuisine gourmet. More than a villa, it felt like a lovely place for body and soul, for all ages.

We booked the whole Villa, pool included, for a weekend and ended up extending our stay because it was so beautiful. The rooms felt like a 4star property, brand new and super clean. Doctor Verena can offer Yoga & Meditation classes on request. It's a real gem in Hikkaduwa for relaxing body and mind, and I can only recommend it. We rented the entire villa and private pool for a day with friends. It was peaceful and a good setting for meditation, which suits the name Shanthi. The rooms were clean and cozy, there's a BBQ facility, and the beach is within walking distance. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quality villa in Hikkaduwa.
