Girilena Guest House

We were treated to coconuts, juices, and sweets more than once, and the wonderful hosts did everything to make things convenient for us. This was the loveliest place we stayed in Sri Lanka, peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful garden. Our room was clean and had its own washing machine, air conditioning, and kitchen. The kitchen had everything needed, with good quality utensils and even an oven for baking. The shower room was good and had hot water. Many thanks to this wonderful family!

Nilaksha and his family were so kind and hospitable. They gave us breakfast and delicious fresh mango juice, brought us coconuts, helped with everything, and even provided a grill and firewood and helped get the fire going. The grounds are large, beautiful, green, and full of palms. Each room has its own private area, which made it feel like we had our own space. We stayed in a clean first-floor room with air conditioning, a fan, and a hot shower. There's also a large kitchen with what you need and a mechanical washing machine. The sea and shops are a straight seven-minute walk away, and the beach is very clean and uncrowded. The most comfortable place to stay, with such lovely people. Thank you!

A few minutes by tuk-tuk gets you to the center and main beach. Girilena Guest house itself is spotless, with large rooms, AC, and spacious bathrooms. It's modern and fully equipped, and there's a separate kitchen and a large terrace. The lovely owners offered us something nice every day, from a refreshing welcome drink to morning coconuts and papaya juice. They were extremely friendly and helpful, and the prices were excellent. We had an amazing stay and totally recommend it!
