Savendro Villa Hikkaduwa Guest House

We found the place spacious and peaceful, with the beach close by, so it worked really well for a relaxing break. The owners’ parents were especially welcoming and kind, and made us feel at home. A very comfortable stay in Hikkaduwa, and easy to recommend.

The family made the stay special. They were so friendly, spoke English, and nothing felt like too much trouble. They even decorated a tree for Christmas. The villa was spotless and well presented, with a convenient spot for town and the beaches. Satellite TV, cooking facilities, AC, Wi-Fi, and good service were all there. I’m sad to be moving on. Easily my best stay in Sri Lanka.

We rented all of villa SAVENDRO for 13 days at the start of January 2025. The living room was a highlight, with its big sofa and dining table where the children spent much of their time, always in sight and safe. There are four bedrooms, two with AC and two with fans, but we were comfortable in all of them. Mr. Asanka was friendly and quick to help whenever we called. His father brought us some delicious coconuts, and the owner shared a tuk-tuk contact for trips to the beach, shops, and local market. The place is clearly cared for: a gardener comes every couple of days, and cleaning is done every 3-4 days. We enjoyed the quiet indoors, the birds in the morning, and fireflies in the evening. A cat dropped by at night, especially when we grilled shrimp or other tasty food. We spotted a monitor lizard once, but it ran off from the gardener. We saw no snakes or other dangerous animals. We also went up to the roof for a nice view of the area. It was a wonderful holiday, thank you, Mr.Asanka!
