We liked Hotel Apollo enough to extend our stay from one night to the remaining 10 days of our trip. The staff were so warm and helpful, especially the owner and the night guard. The rooms were nice and clean, with air conditioning, and were cleaned during our stay too. There were a few ants, which you can probably find anywhere near the beach. The location is great, with stairs leading straight down to the beach. We got lucky when the night guard knocked on our door because a turtle had come to the beach restaurant below us. We saw the whole thing, from it laying its egg to returning to the water.

Right on the beach, with great surfing, and the price was easy on the budget. The staff were sweet and helpful, and the one-bedroom apartment was spacious, with a full kitchen stocked with utensils, a stove, and a fridge. The balcony felt unsafe because it had no railings, and the kitchen door wouldn't lock properly. It might not be ideal for kids, but I'd definitely come back.

I called the number listed on Google and was told they don't accommodate locals. Very disappointing, and they don't seem to know how to handle customers 👎🏻
