The villa was much cleaner and more spacious than we expected when we arrived, and it had everything we needed. We found it through booking.com, and Kaminda, the host, got in touch right away with kind wishes and stayed available to help throughout. He has a charming personality, and even had separate containers for plastic, trash, and organic waste, which gave me the impression he cares about doing the right thing. There were two large double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, plus two similar bedrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped, though we arrived late and left the next morning, so we didn't use it. Kaminda kindly let our driver stay for free, which was a huge help. Hakiduwa beach, with its white sand and turtles, is within walking distance. If you're interested in diving, Kaminda is your man!

We spent three nights here and loved it. It was the best place of my 12-day trip to Sri Lanka. The owner was so nice, and across the road there was access to a clean private beach with a beautiful sunset and a dive center. With a flat and kitchen, it was great for a family.

The calm, relaxing feel made this villa a lovely choice for a weekend away. Sea Yo Villa was beautifully maintained, with spacious, clean rooms and all the amenities we needed. The beach was just a short walk away, so it was easy to enjoy the sun and surf. Lakshan and Nilantha were incredibly friendly and attentive, and made sure we had what we needed. Breakfast was delicious, too, a lovely start to the morning. We stayed last Friday and Saturday, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommend Sea Yo Villa in Hikkaduwa!

A lovely villa with a fair, friendly host. The rooms were clean and spacious, the kitchen well equipped, and getting to the beach was quick and easy. The road traffic can be a bit noisy in the morning, so bring earplugs. The second-floor view is very cool :)

After five weeks travelling around Sri Lanka, I'd put this hotel in the top tier and would recommend it to friends and family. It's not on the beach, but a short walk across the road and through the dive school takes you to a fantastic beach cafe.
