Suite Lanka

We booked Suite Lanka to unwind after a two-week tour, and it was such a good place to pause before flying home. The staff were caring, our four-poster room had a terrace facing the beach, and it was tidied every day with flowers left around. The gardens and dining space were beautifully kept, and there were loungers and parasols right by the beach. Meals were great, from breakfast to lunch and dinner. They even made my tea very light, just how I like it. The security man was lovely and pointed out turtles on the beach at night. We saw turtle releases too, and joined locals pulling in fishing nets. The beach itself was amazing, though the waves were too dramatic for a swim, fun to watch all the same. Before breakfast we walked to turtle beach and swam with the big turtles. You can take a tuk-tuk to the shops and bars, or go kayaking. Honestly, after this stay I was glad we hadn't booked the Maldives.

Back for the third time, and I'm happy again, even though I'm pretty picky. It's a lovely little hotel with great views over the beach and ocean. The rooms are cleaned every day, the staff are friendly and ready to help with whatever you need, and the breakfast and other food are really tasty. Hope to be back soon :)

If you're surfing, the main reef at Hikaduwa is about a 15-minute walk away, or just a 3-minute Tuk Tuk ride. Most drivers have straps for carrying boards on the roof. We had a great stay at Suite Lanka, and everyone on staff made us feel welcome from the beginning. Siri was a brilliant manager and gave us plenty of tips for food, sightseeing, and partying. Highly recommend.

The owner upgraded us to the penthouse sweet, which was fantastic, a huge room with a lounge and sea views. The hotel is right on a beautiful stretch of beach, and the staff have been so friendly and helpful. We're having an amazing time here. Best place we've stayed so far!
