The owner is friendly and the only person there who speaks Sinhala. The others couldn’t speak English or Sinhala at all, which made check-in and checkout a bit difficult. The property is about 2.5 kilometers from town, so a little way out but not too far. The garden and rooms are clean and well kept, the washrooms are okay, and there were no mosquitoes. There’s no restaurant on site, but a few are within walking distance. I thought the accommodation was reasonably priced.

We found it good value for a family stay, especially with the location being handy for the Nallur Ther festival. Our family of four had enough room, and the space was fully air-conditioned. There was ample parking, plus an open area where we could eat. The room was generally clean and the staff were friendly and provided good service. The washroom had a slight smell that could be addressed, but overall we had a good experience at Lotus Inn for the price.

We spent two days at the hotel last week. It’s close to town and Nallur Kovil, and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

We arrived at 6 in the morning and agreed to pay for the whole day. Breakfast wasn’t included, and there was no soap in the bathroom. The shower had cockroaches and ants, and the room was full of mosquitoes with no net. We left at 6 in the evening and were charged for another full day. The workers didn’t speak English. It wasn’t worth the money, since there are better and cheaper places in Jaffna.
