Breakfast was a lovely surprise, with freshly made Jaffna food full of flavor. Haran was happy to handle special requests, which helped us feel at home. He’s a genuinely caring, warm host who goes out of his way for guests, and speaks Sinhala, English, and Tamil fluently, so communication was easy. Nallur Residence is clean and well kept, a few minutes from Jaffna town, yet calm and comfortable. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price the location, comfort and hospitality are well worth it. It made our trip special, and I’d recommend giving it a try if you want an affordable stay with a caring host.

We always got far more food than we could finish. The home cooking was excellent, including fish in Banana leaf and crab curry, with lots of sides. Breakfast was huge too. The host was very welcoming and could arrange anything from tea whenever we wanted to a private beach trip and barbecue.

The owner was so kind and made sure we had whatever we needed. The house itself was really nice and clean. We went with him by boat to an Island, spent a great time fishing, then had a barbecue on the beach. That was one of my best days in srilanka. One of the best stays in SriLanka, absolutely recommend it!

The manager, Haran, went above and beyond to arrange tours around Jaffna and the surrounding areas. It’s a really nice historic place, with spacious rooms and excellent service. The food was authentic to the region. I’d highly recommend staying here when visiting Jaffna.

The traditional breakfast was absolutely delicious and a highlight of my stay. Nallur Residence felt warm and homely, and the hospitality was exceptional. I stayed on 23rd September and found it peaceful and comfortable. It’s a short walk from the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, in an area that felt safe and was easy to get around. Highly recommended for a calm stay nearby.
