Pasikkudah Resort - Guest House

Our evening at Pasikuda public beach was a highlight, and the hotel pool was decent, though nothing special. The family rooms felt spacious and comfortable, while the triple rooms were quite compact. The next morning's breakfast had a fair range and was better than the food options we'd found around the area, which generally weren't very flavorful. We had dinner at a nearby seafood restaurant. After the long drive from Kandy, we arrived around 12 p.m. but didn't get the warm welcome we'd expected. The receptionist seemed too busy to give guests much attention. We had brought lunch packets and asked to eat them in the restaurant, but management first told us to eat in our rooms. We were allowed into the restaurant only after discussing it, which made lunch unnecessarily inconvenient. Service and hospitality felt minimal and lacked warmth throughout our family stay. We chose Earl’s Red Pasikuda because of the “Earl’s” name and expected its usual standard of comfort and service. This property fell short of that expectation.

Manager Mr. Sarath and his team made the stay especially memorable with warm, professional service and real attention to our comfort. The rooms were cozy, clean, and well-maintained, and it felt like a home away from home. I had a fantastic time at Earls Red and will definitely return. Highly recommend it.

The food deserves five stars, and as a family we really appreciated the excellent service. The staff were courteous, and the manager's help was invaluable. Cleanliness was acceptable, though a few small improvements would bring it up to an exemplary level.

The room wasn't clean, and the bathroom smelled foul. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the food was disgusting, tasteless, and clearly not fresh. On top of that, I was quoted one amount when booking but charged a different one at checkout, with no proper explanation. A total waste of money. I'd never recommend it to anyone. Avoid it, not worth a single ruppee.
