Uga Bay - Pasikuda

For me, Uga Bay is the best of the luxury hotels I’ve visited around Sri Lanka. The beach is white and, in my view, the best in the country, and the location feels like paradise. The staff are caring and very supportive. A must visit place.

The spa treatment was wonderful, and sunbathing and snorkelling kept us happy during our four nights here in early November. There isn’t much to do outside the resort. We had mostly sunny weather, with a couple of evening showers. Our beach front room made it easy to step straight out onto the beach, and the hotel itself was lovely, clean, and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The food was great, and the staff were very attentive, though it was low season when we visited. We’d recommend staying here.

We went to Uga Bay Passikudah for three nights with our three-year-old, and the beach was ideal for a relaxing family break: soft white sand and calm, clear water. The grounds were beautiful, clean, well maintained, and close to the beach. Our spacious room felt comfortable and safe for our belongings. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and adequate, and complimentary items in the mini-fridge were a nice touch. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, but that didn’t affect our stay. Housekeeping cleaned the room and prepared the beds twice daily, replenishing fresh towels and necessities each time. The chef’s meals were delicious, filling, and excellent throughout. Thanks to Asitha for his restaurant service, the front desk team for their warm welcome, and Raja for kindly and efficiently handling our luggage and valet parking. Everyone we met was friendly, helpful, and professional. We had a cozy, memorable stay and would happily give it five stars, 10 out of 10. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway with great service.

There were five of us, and we spent two nights here in December 2025. The large room was extremely comfortable and had a stunning beach view. Since the hotel was quiet, there was plenty of space on the beach loungers and by the beautiful pool. With fewer guests, they weren’t serving a buffet, but the extensive breakfast menu was excellent: fresh juice, pastries, yogurt, fruit, eggs prepared several ways, plus coffee and tea. Dinner also had a good choice of seafood, meat, and vegetarian dishes, all tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pasikuda and highly recommend Uga Bay Resort.
