The lagoon view is the thing I’ll remember most. Waking up to it each day was unforgettable, and it’s the sort of peaceful place where you just want to stay put and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were warm, friendly, and ready to help with anything we needed. We had an amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone after a calm, scenic getaway.

We spent two nights here for Easter. Our Nelum room looked out over the lagoon and was cozy, tidy, and seemed clean. A few small flying cockroaches did get in the way of the experience, though we dealt with them. Some pest control would help. The toilet seat was loose, but that wasn’t a big deal. The food was tasty, though not spicy unless you tell them you want it that way. We’d planned to go dolphin watching, but their boat had broken down, so another provider took us instead. It was still a wonderful experience. You can ask Wasantha the owner about getting a better rate. I’d recommend this as a lovely place to visit.

The service was good and our family had a pleasant one-night stay at Dinuda Lagoon Hotel, Kalpitiya. It has a relaxed feel, with the lagoon and sea very close, and we enjoyed seeing kite surfers. Our room could have been cleaner. Breakfast tasted good, but the buffet options were limited and it felt quite expensive for what was offered.

The food had impressive quality and variety, and the pool was fantastic. Our room was comfortable and clean, too. The location is hard to beat if you love the beach. A real gem in Kalpitiya, and I’d stay again, 10/10. ❤️
