Water Nest Hotel

I loved spending afternoons in the beautiful outdoor pool, and the lush garden and quiet surroundings made it easy to unwind. The restaurant served tasty Sri Lankan and international food, and breakfast was a great start to the day. The beach is a short drive away, with local attractions in Kalutara easy to reach. At Hotel Water Nest in Payagala (Pambe), the rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with modern amenities and air-conditioning. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive from the moment I arrived. It was a comfortable mix of relaxation and warm Sri Lankan hospitality in a peaceful coastal village. I’d recommend it for a restful getaway near the Sri Lankan coast.

I had a comfortable stay at this nice hotel. The atmosphere was calm, and the staff were kind and supportive.

We enjoyed the breakfast and pool, and the atmosphere was relaxed throughout. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The staff were generally helpful and accommodating, but we had a disappointing stay at Water Nest Hotel. We booked two triple rooms, and both had maintenance problems. The bathroom locks were broken, the outlets were loose and seemed unsafe, and the bathroom lights were dim with signs of shorts, which made the rooms less comfortable. There was also a frustrating surprise with the pool charge. When we booked by phone, we were told pool access was included at no extra cost. At checkout, we found out there was a fee. When we raised it, the owner was quite rude and dismissed our concern, saying they didn’t need to share every hotel rule. I think hotels should clearly explain extra charges upfront to avoid misunderstandings. Because of the maintenance issues and lack of transparency about fees, I wouldn’t recommend Water Nest Hotel.
