Aswadduma Hotel

Seeing wild animals in their natural habitat was one of the best parts of my stay. Aswadduma Hotel is tucked in a charming village, right in front of Kandalama Reservoir and among the Kandalama jungle, so it felt peaceful and picturesque, almost like living in the jungle. I had wondered about mixed reviews, but took a chance after seeing the photos, and was glad I did. The hotel is under new management and the improvements are remarkable; everything ran smoothly. Staff were exceptionally friendly and gave amazing service. The huge pool and luxurious jacuzzi pool were great for unwinding. Some adventure activities were still under construction during my visit, and I'm sure they'll add something once complete. A refreshing experience, and one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The calm poolside setting gave us a lovely place to unwind, and the hotel's warm hospitality created a romantic mood from the moment we arrived. Our wedding anniversary at Aswadduma Hotel was a dream. The food was a treat, with every dish a delightful surprise, and the services were impeccable. You could see the attention to detail throughout the stay. We’ll always cherish the experience and recommend it to couples looking for a memorable romantic getaway.

The view was breathtaking, and the kind staff made us feel welcome during a relaxed overnight stay with our team. We enjoyed the open space outside in the morning, and the place gave me a welcome break from a heavy workload. There were a few small cleanliness issues, but they didn't outweigh the good parts of the visit. A bit more attention to detail could bring the hotel up to a perfect score, and I hope to see improvements next time. Overall, it's a good stay that I'd recommend.

We stayed one night on 24th December. The location, surroundings and friendly staff were all great, but for the price we expected better facilities. The hot water didn't work, the bidet shower pressure was too high to use, the bathroom smelled bad, the mattress wasn't good, and there was no Wi-Fi in the room. We paid for more than we got. Everything else was perfect, and the staff were very friendly, but these things need fixing before we think about visiting again. We'd definitely return if they improve them.
