Ocean Caves, Balapitiya

My special thanks to Dinitha ❤️ The place was very clean, which stood out to me, and the service was excellent. Ocean Caves Balapitiya has gorgeous ocean views and a calm natural feel, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy Sri Lanka’s southern coast. I had an amazing stay.

I’ve stayed here several times, and for me it’s the best hotel in Balapatia. The grounds are small but kept in good shape, and the rooms are clean with everything you need. The ocean is just a two-minute walk away, and there’s a swimming pool at the hotel.

The calm, well-located hotel made my stay really relaxing, and I enjoyed the delicious food too. I had a great time here.

Kevin, the manager, made us feel welcome with his warmth and attention to detail. He’s a real professional in hospitality, and that helped make our stay wonderful. We first booked one night, enjoyed it so much that we came back for another, and the second stay was even better. The rooms are a little dated and could use a refresh, though it didn’t bother us. The pool is fantastic, and the ocean is a short distance away. It’s a quiet, peaceful location near a cemetery, which didn’t disturb us. From the second floor, the ocean views are breathtaking and well worth it. I recommend the hotel if you appreciate thoughtful hospitality, a serene setting, and easy access to the ocean. We’ll definitely return.
