390 Villa Vista

The staff were very helpful and gave us their best room without charging extra. It was also really peaceful. The view from here is spectacular, and I haven’t seen one like it anywhere else in Kandy. It looks beautiful at any time of year.

Of all the places we stayed around Sri Lanka, this was the pearl in the ocean. It’s away from the city rush and street noise, and I especially loved the view from the main bedroom. Breakfast was delicious, and our host was incredibly kind and hospitable. The only downside was having to leave so soon. See you soon!

We had the poolside room, which felt extra luxurious, and the whole place was so relaxed that we stayed on the property for both nights. The views were stunning. The owner and his wife were friendly and helpful, and the staff were amazing. A special mention to Prasantha, who was super nice to our two-year-old and made all of us feel at home. Their egg hoppers with coconut sambal at breakfast are memorable. The rice and curry and devilled chicken were the best things we tried from the menu. If you arrive by taxi, don’t count on Google Maps. Ask the driver to call the hotel for another route, because ours couldn’t make it up the steep hill.

Mr. Prasantha, the manager, along with Milinda and Rumesh, were always ready to do whatever they could to make our stay comfortable. Owner Mr.Nimal has done a great job building this lovely place. Everyone was friendly and gave us real Sri Lankan hospitality. It’s a peaceful place to relax in nature, with spacious rooms and amazing views throughout. We could see a few landmarks, which I think were Nelligala International Buddhist Centre and Ranawana temple. The Sri Lankan food was perfect, and you can use the pool anytime. They don’t serve alcohol, but guests can bring their own bottle. There was nothing more we could ask for at 390 villa vista. You’ll love visiting.
