The location was good, and the cozy room had a partial lake view. There’s a Buddhist monastery next door. The inn said dinner was available, then refused at the last minute, so we had to rush out to find food during curfew.

The rooms felt old and dirty, and they didn't clean ours during our stay, which lasted more than one day. Sound insulation was poor, too. Breakfast was only a tiny piece of omelet and a couple of toasts. The price is far too high for this quality of room and service. I wouldn't recommend it.

Amaara Residence has lake-view rooms, a restaurant, and complimentary Wi-Fi in Kandy. It is 400 m from Lakeside Adventist Hospital, 900 m from Kandyan Art Association & Cultural Centre, and 1 km from British Garrison Cemetery. Bandaranaike Airport is 85 km away. The fan-cooled rooms have terraces, mosquito nets, and private bathrooms with a bath or shower. Room service is available. Guests can get help with car rental, airport shuttle, laundry, and luggage storage. Private parking is free.

There’s a lovely garden where you can relax at any time, and the hotel has a great lake view while still being close to the lake. The staff are very friendly, and having rooms without mosquitoes was really convenient.

It depends what you're looking for. We stayed just one night, and the hospitality was wonderful. The room was large, with fans but no A/C, and the shower wasn't separate. Breakfast was very good, and the hospitality was great again. Thanks!
