The warmth of the family hosting us made this stay feel special. Their kindness felt sincere the whole time, and that really shaped our experience. Samindra Villa sits by the river in the hills, away from Kandy's busy center, though a tuk-tuk gets you there in about 10 minutes. The villa is lovely, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was great. We also enjoyed sitting on the balcony with tea or coffee and taking in the view. It’s been our favorite experience in Sri Lanka so far, and I’d recommend it to anyone coming to Kandy.

Breakfast was a real treat, especially the coconut-filled pancakes, which we'd never tried before. Everything we tasted was excellent. We were a group of eight, and the spacious, comfortable villa worked well for us. It's a little way out of town, but the hosts let our driver park at the property, so he could conveniently take a tuk-tuk back. The hosts helped make the stay relaxing and enjoyable. We had a wonderful time at Samindra Villa and highly recommend it.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the garden, and there was plenty of space. It was also neat and clean. Samindra Villa is beautifully set among the hills, with lovely views. The host was kind and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. I had a great stay and would happily come back.

I've stayed at Samindra Villas several times, and it's my usual choice when I come to Kandy. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a modern design. The balcony view is magnificent, and the meals are delicious. I'd recommend it to everyone.
