The rates are affordable, but I had a bad experience during my one-night stay while I was in town for official work. My room wouldn't lock. I reported it and am still waiting for a solution, but they didn't move me to another room. They just said nobody would open the door and told me not to worry. I couldn't sleep normally because I was concerned about my privacy. 😑

The staff were warm and attentive, and I felt reassured by how clean and hygienic the hotel was. My room had a lovely view of the hills and combined modern comforts with Sri Lankan character. The location also made a peaceful base near key attractions. I had a delightful stay at The Empire Valley Hotel in Kandy. It exceeded my expectations, and I'd gladly recommend it.

For the price, this was an affordable stay, and the staff were friendly. I spent one night at Empire Valley Hotel. The room was clean, there was hot water, and Kandy city was quite close.
