We had a lovely view from the windows, and the center and the Temple of the Tooth of Buddha were an easy walk away. The hotel sits on a mountainside, with a city park at the top. Monkeys came past our window every morning, and I suppose they roam freely between the park and the city! The staff were nice, and the manager was especially pleasant, always smiling, humble, and never intrusive.

We'd happily come back. The owner was incredibly friendly and shared useful tips without pushing anything. Our room was tidy and clean, with plenty of room for clothes. It wasn't five-star spotless, but for the price it was really good. Breakfast could've been a little heartier, though we didn't ask for more. We skipped most of the other services, including laundry and dinner. If you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk, staying a bit back from the street noise worked well for us.

The owner was helpful, and breakfast was decent. When we arrived, we were switched to another room because of a toilet problem, at no extra cost. The replacement room was bigger, had a shower, and the air conditioning was very clean. Recommended.
