The food is thoughtfully prepared, and the service at Grand Orchid makes me feel like family. We were greeted at the entrance with a lovely refreshing drink, and someone took our bags up to our rooms. It felt like coming home to family visiting from far away. The meals have been generous and wonderful every time we've stayed. Thank you for having us. Running a BnB in Sri Lanka isn't easy, and there's tough competition, so prices are comparable to other places. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are some rural inconveniences, like waiting for the water to heat up and missing a few small first-world comforts, but that simplicity is part of Sri Lanka's charm. The hospitality is 10/10.

The view over Kandy is a highlight, since the hotel sits above the viewpoint. Getting there was a little difficult the first time, but the price was reasonable and somewhat cheaper than other places. Our rooms were clean and had most of the facilities we needed, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were very satisfied with both the place and the service, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a great view during a stay in Kandy.

The view was spectacular, and the price was reasonable too. I recently stayed here and found the room very clean and tidy, with all facilities better than I expected. A calm, pleasant place with a great balcony view. The hotel was mostly clean, and the caretaker was friendly and always available to help. Good value for the price, and I'd say it's a must-stay in kandy. I had a great time here.

We had a great time with the family in this cool, quiet place. The owner and caretaker were gentle and very friendly. They served a delicious English breakfast, including fresh mango juice grown by the owner. It's within walking distance of the Kandy city viewpoint. Highly recommend!
