Hanthana Mount View Villa

The view seems to be all they're advertising. Service was awful, staff were very unprofessional, and there was no parking. At night I had to go to reception three times to move my vehicle for other customers. The mattress was lumpy and left me with a backache after just one night. There were ants everywhere too. Not worth the money, a total waste, and I'd never choose this place again.

The beds were clean and the balcony had a great view of the mountain and river. The bathroom was a bit dirty and old, though, and we found a dead mouse in the hallway outside our room first thing in the morning. Not a nice sight to wake up to. For a short stay the price was good, as long as you're not too fussy about cleanliness.

From the back of the property there's a lovely view of the river and Hanthana range. The owner was very friendly, and the rooms were clean with all the amenities. It's conveniently close to Peradeniya town and the university, and I'd recommend it for a visit to Peradeniya or Kandy.

The rooms are very average, and the service is too. There's no help with carrying luggage or showing you to your room. The food was totally unacceptable, so I'd suggest eating out, there are several restaurants nearby. The morning balcony view over the river is amazing, though, and the place is worth the money.
