We only planned to stay one night at Haven Upon Hills, but ended up adding another night on the spot. The room was lovely and clean, with a balcony looking out over the hills, and the private bathroom was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care. Kethakie and her partner made the stay feel special. They were so welcoming, and we spent New Year’s Eve together, which made for a memorable visit. If you get the chance to try Kethakie’s home cooking, go for it. The homestay is about 15 minutes from the city center. PickMe made getting there easy, and Kethakie was reachable and happy to help when we had trouble finding the place. A real home away from home, and we’d gladly return.

We stayed one night in this lovely home. The room was beautiful, with a great view across the surrounding mountains. It’s quite a way from Kandy lake, and with the traffic we decided to stay in and enjoy the scenery during our short visit. The shower was broken and needs fixing, but everything else was beautiful.

A lovely place to spend a day or two if you’re after some rest. The views are amazing, and it’s budget friendly as long as you’re okay being a little outside the city.

The view is amazing, and the place was clean. The owner was very nice, and since there’s only one room available, you get privacy. It was a little tricky to find. With a scooter and Google Maps it wasn’t too bad, though the map seemed to show a different spot. I asked some locals at the top to make sure I was in the right place.

The view is incredible, and I’d stay here again. I had breakfast on both mornings, and it was incredibly tasty.
