The service was what made Riverdale Bungalow stand out. Bandara, the personal butler, and Madu, the personal chef, gave us a warm welcome and such personal care. They were professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food and service were outstanding, and I can't praise them enough. We’ve just come back from Sri Lanka, and this stay was one of the highlights. The bungalow is beautiful, full of character, charm, and history, and the location is fantastic. Hearing it had been visited by the Queen and featured in a film made it feel even more special. As someone in the hospitality industry, I really appreciated the care we received. If you're in Kandy, this is a must-stay. I’d recommend dining in at least one evening too. Madu’s curries are exceptional. To the wonderful team, you absolutely nailed it, thank you. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and professional, and the cuisine was probably the best in Kandy. We were very comfortable, with beautiful views, a private pool, and an outdoor area. The location was great and peaceful. It was a magical stay, and I was sad to leave the property. Highly recommend.

The Buddhist temple chants from the valley made the place feel incredibly serene, and the location was lovely. Every amenity felt top end and every detail was taken care of. Bandhara and Madu, our butler and chef, were attentive, responsive, and spot on. We were very impressed with their work. The property absolutely does justice to the price. Our two nights went by so quickly, I wish we’d booked longer. One of the most amazing places I’ve stayed. I’ll definitely visit again and highly recommend it.

We all enjoyed the quiet location and personal service during our lovely two-night stay. Madu and Bandara were fabulous, thank you. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. One suggestion for management: offer more price options for dinner, since the set menu was very expensive, even by tourist standards.

The service was just right. Manjula, our personal butler, Madushanka, our personal chef, and Joel, the resident manager, were there whenever we needed them without intruding or disturbing the peace. I can’t praise them highly enough. The team got everything spot on, and they deserve all the credit and future success that I’m sure will come their way. What a spectacular place, with a fantastic location and a beautiful historic bungalow full of charm. We had an exceptional stay, and only wish we’d stayed longer.
