Jack Tree Lodge

We only stayed one night, but the welcoming, super helpful staff made the place feel like family. The room and washroom were very clean, and the balcony and shared spaces both had an outstanding view. The location worked well for us too, about a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride from the restaurants. I'd recommend it if you want a peaceful view in Kandy, away from the city buzz.

The view was great, and it was so cool and quiet. The people were even more welcoming than I expected. Breakfast was the best part: we asked for local food, and over the two mornings we stayed, I felt like we'd tried all kinds of Sri Lankan cuisine.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was well maintained, the meals were delicious, and the service was excellent.

My family and I stayed at Jack Tree for one night on 2025/09/27. The breakfast and room service were good. I was there with my wife in 2019, and this time we came with our baby too. After six years, I could see a clear difference, and a few things need attention: the keyhole in the room door needs repair, the sheets weren't clean and had a yellow patch and someone else's hair, and there weren't enough milk powder packets. At least four are needed to make two cups of tea, and the packets aren't strong or good quality. The room lights also aren't bright enough.
