We expected more after reading the positive reviews and ended up disappointed. The pool wasn’t clean, there was no water in the shared washroom, the rooms looked untidy, and mosquitoes were everywhere. It might suit foreigners, but it didn’t feel suitable for locals. The photos online seem to have been taken a long time ago and don’t reflect how things are now. After a very long drive, we had to find somewhere else to stay at the last minute.

The young woman at reception greeted us with a warm smile and was friendly. We stayed here on a trip with friends from Batticaloa to Kandy. The hotel has cabana-style buildings, a pool, and good food. It’s very calm and natural, with greenery all around and a river nearby. Everything was good overall, though cleanliness and maintenance could use more attention.

We had an enjoyable visit, and the staff were helpful and good. The setting is lovely, and being able to use the pool was great. We got a great package, though the food wasn’t the best and could be improved. The place could also be a bit cleaner.

Yohan and Thushara deserve a special thanks for the warm hospitality. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help, and the freshly prepared food was delicious, with local and international options. Kandy Cabana is surrounded by lovely nature and feels peaceful, a nice break from the busy city. Our clean, comfortable rooms had a cozy charm and lovely views. I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing, memorable stay in Kandy where you can unwind and feel at home.

The restaurant service could be quicker. The chalets were comfortable, clean, and nice, right by the river, and the pool was nice too. Getting to Kandy takes at least 30 minutes because it’s a bit far and the road is very busy. At peak traffic, it can take an hour to reach the center.
