Kings Ridge

For the price, staying at King Ridge Hotel was well worth it. The spacious, clean, comfortable room made for a pleasant visit. Breakfast was basic, nothing fancy, but satisfying for what we paid. The receptionist was particularly pleasant and helpful, and even agreed to move us to a room with a better view, which we really appreciated. That kind of service makes a difference. It's a good budget option with comfortable rooms and good service. If you call a taxi, tell the driver the hotel is 150 meters after the viewpoint, or they may get confused. 😄 I'd recommend it if you want a good stay without overpaying. 👍

The view over the greenery and surrounding hills was beautiful, and the hotel was a peaceful place to relax. Staff were kind, helpful, and smiling from start to finish, making us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it for the service, friendly people, and lovely view.

The location is very nice, and we had a good two-night stay. The food and breakfast were both very good, and the staff were excellent. Special mention to Mr. Suraj Obeyesekera, who is a great artist. He painted the colourful elephant in the dining area in acrylic.

The young receptionist was polite and did his job well, and the room was good. The washrooms and general cleanliness were also well maintained. But my stay was disappointing because of one senior staff member who seemed to be a manager. He was an older man, unfriendly, and sometimes spoke in an insulting way, which made things uncomfortable. It often seemed he wasn't interested in helping guests or properly dealing with concerns. We were told all the rooms were fully booked, though we weren't sure that was true. The air conditioning didn't work properly either, and we had to adjust it ourselves. The facilities were acceptable, but this staff member's attitude and service really brought the experience down.
