We spent a night here while visiting Kandy. The lake view was lovely, the rooms were comfortable, and breakfast had a very good variety. A good option to consider for a short stay.

The lake view was nice, and the hostess made a lovely cup of tea. That’s about all I can say was good. We arrived late after a tiring trip from Columbo, and the hostess looked at us like, “What are you doing here?” My wife needed a shower, but there was no hot water. Room service was poor too. As far as I know, ours was the only room on my floor without a TV, while all the others had one. A bag of medicines also disappeared from our room.

The staff are friendly, and everyone gets complimentary morning bed tea and breakfast. The location is nice, though not really an ideal spot for looking at the lake. There’s no free paper or WiFi. AC is available, but may not be necessary in the local climate. No bed bugs or cockroaches. The attached bathroom has hot and cold water, though you may have to let the tap run for 10 minutes to get hot water.

I wouldn't come back. The penthouse was the only room that felt reasonably comfortable. This is otherwise a very basic hotel, with stained toilet seats and no locks on the toilet doors. Breakfast eggs arrived stone cold. Some staff were rude and unprofessional, and wouldn't accept our complaints.
