We’ve been wiping the room down with sanitising wipes, and they keep coming away black. The chair was mouldy, though I unfortunately sent it away before I could take a photo. We had to ask for bedsheets, towels, and toilet paper, and then ask again because the linen we got was for a single bed, not the double in the room. The pictures are deceiving. We’re trying to find somewhere else, and if we can’t get a place starting tonight, we’ll have to use our sleeping bags. This is too much. The window looks out onto what seems to be a landfill. Affordable doesn’t mean dirty.

This was one of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in across Asia. When I arrived, the owner said the room I’d booked online was no longer available. My only choice was to pay extra for an upgraded room or leave without a refund. It felt like an outright scam.

The bathroom had grey water leaking and spraying out, and there was a worm in the shower. We had to request soap and toilet paper, and our room had no internet. The prices on booking.com weren’t correct, either. The sign calls these “luxury rooms,” but I think “a roof over your head and a bed” would be more fitting. Thank you for hosting us.

My room had bedbugs, and I spent the night awake in what felt like a nightmare. It was the worst budget hotel room experience I’ve had. The other room we booked was fine in that respect and otherwise alright. We’d reserved two rooms for one night, but the bathroom and bed setups at the original location didn’t match our booking, so the owner arranged rooms at another property by the filling station. Those rooms had clean-looking sheets, but no hot water, shampoo, or towels. Glass walls and doors meant the curtains didn’t fit properly, so we needed clips for privacy, and the door didn’t close or lock well. The owner was friendly and acknowledged the bedbug problem. I won’t return, but I hope they fix it for future guests.
