Misty Villa by DBI

We were very disappointed with this stay after many years. The photos are misleading. The rooms and living area are basic, with a TV just hanging there, and the outdoor garden pool looked like it hadn't been maintained for months. The garden table shown was broken and didn't feel safe to use. Kitchen hygiene was extremely poor and the food quality was bad. Whoever manages the house should inspect these areas before attracting visitors.

We came across this place by chance while looking for somewhere near Kotmale to stay with a family friend, and it turned out to be amazing. There are so many ways to relax or have fun here: sit on the grass with a drink, gather around the table, use the pool, or watch the sunset from the rooftop over a drink. It felt like there were a hundred spots and ways to unwind. The food was good and the caretaker's service superb. We'll definitely come back for a full day.

A peaceful, scenic break from city life, with fresh air and lovely views that suit the name “Misty.” We stayed with family and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were comfortable, clean, well maintained, and had all the essentials. Staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to do extra to make things enjoyable. Safe, cozy, and relaxing for a family getaway. We left with great memories and would happily return. Highly recommended for comfort, tranquility, and genuine hospitality.

The weather in Pussellawa was just right, neither too hot nor too cold, and the villa had a warm, cozy feel. Saman and Deshika were kind and attentive, and the Sri Lankan food was spot on. We also hiked nearby Peacock Hill and had an amazing time. It's a peaceful place to unwind, with plenty around to explore if you feel like it.
