I loved the yoga sessions, with the morning and evening classes each having their own feel and both fitting the time of day so well. The waterfall hike, including a swim, was the highlight of my week, and the food was chef’s kiss. This estate is stunning. Even the paths seem to sparkle at night because of the unusual stones in the soil, and I was impressed by their reforestation work. Staying in the forest, waking to birds and falling asleep to insects, felt grounding and special. I’d never had an experience quite like it. Hand on heart, one of the best parts of my Sri Lanka trip ♥️

The food was simple but really good, and everything felt like good value. We enjoyed the yoga, and the spice factory was fascinating. Sitting and watching monkeys in the trees was lovely too. This is a proper jungle stay, so come with an open mind. There are bugs, and day-to-day life is a bit harder than most of us are used to. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and Charles was a fantastic host. They carried our bags to and from the rooms and even took care of our laundry.

The four-day retreat flew by before I knew it. The mountain setting was amazing, and I really enjoyed learning about the reforestation program. Staff were helpful and friendly, the food was amazing, and the yoga classes had a nice variety. The teacher made time to give everyone personal adjustments.

The only thing I’d suggest is arranging the final transfer to the lodges a little earlier and more smoothly. Otherwise, I loved this four-day yoga retreat in the Sri Lankan jungle. The basic ecolodges were comfy and authentic, bugs included! Jenny’s morning and sunset yoga classes were marvelous, and the activities were fun and well organised, from cooking and planting trees to visiting the spice factory and hiking to a waterfall for a swim. Thank you!

The cabins are cozy and tucked into the forest, and the food is delicious. Everyone was friendly and made me feel welcome. I had a wonderful time, and the yoga retreat program was great. It’s a lovely way to connect with Sri Lankan nature and local culture, with everything sustainable and community made. Highly recommended!
