Range Hotel Kandy

We spent two full days here with our family and found it very relaxing. It's about 4 km from Kandy town, but the hotel sits in a quiet area away from city traffic and noise. Up on a mountain, it has breathtaking views. Our deluxe room had a balcony view, and we enjoyed the English breakfast. Manager Mr. Piyantha was attentive, and Thinusa was helpful and friendly. To me, this is one of the area's most underrated hotels. We'd definitely recommend it.

We visited on 15th 16th April 2025. It's near Kandy city and has a fabulous view. From the first booking conversation, the service matched our requirements, even on peak days. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the pool was clean and excellent, and the food was excellent too. Full service was excellent. Manager Mr. Priyantha managed things well, kept his promises, and maintained a clean, tidy environment. Recommended for a calm, comfortable stay with views of the mountains and rever Mahaweli in Kandy.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the high hill location gave us a lovely view, though some tuk tuks couldn't make it up and town was an hour's walk away. The room, however, was dated and grimy, and badly needed fresh paint and curtains. The aircon only blew down on us, the shower pressure was poor, the fridge didn't get cold, and the towels were old. The pool water smelled, and the second room had no windows.

The dining options were exquisite, and the hotel's central location made exploring the city easy. Our room was comfortable and tastefully designed, with a good mix of luxury and practicality. The staff were warm and welcoming and gave us impeccable service throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, Range Kandy showed its commitment to excellence. It exceeded my expectations in every way and was the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Highly recommended for a memorable stay!
