The mountain view from my window was lovely, and I liked the modern room with its traditional touches. Mine had Hollywood twin beds. The bathroom was clean and had hot water, though there weren't many amenities. The TV didn't work, possibly because there was no signal. This is a newly opened hotel in Kandy, a sacred place for Sri Lankan Buddhism, in the middle of the country. It's a bit removed from the old town, with few shops around, but there's a restaurant on the top floor. For a longer stay, it seems you have to ask the staff to clean the room. I was out all day and came back to find mine hadn't been done, which was disappointing. Apart from that, it's good value and I'd recommend it. You can find a video introduction by searching YouTube for "hakurepo" or the hotel name.

The food was clean and tasty, and the service was exceptional. I spent one night here on my own and had a great stay for a reasonable price. One thing to sort out before arriving: ask about private car parking so they can arrange it.

We only stayed a few hours to sleep, but it was a bad experience. The family room was spacious, clean, and had good furniture. The air conditioner was broken and barely put out any air, so we were sweaty and couldn't sleep properly. We ordered a portion of fried chicken for the kids, which cost LKR 1800, but it was awful. It was all fried bones with no chicken, and the kids wouldn't eat it. The fried chips weren't fresh and had no salt either. The hospitality at Selene city hotel felt very poor quality. I wouldn't recommend it for a family stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the facilities were great. It's also conveniently close to Kandy city. We spent one night here and had an excellent stay with absolutely no complaints. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy.

Getting around from here is easy, and the location is convenient in every way. The hotel is in Katugastota, Kandy, with rooms that are clean and very nice. The AC worked really well, and the staff provided good service. We recommend it.
