Serendip Stone Hotel and Bungalow

The rooms are well cared for and the food is delicious. I've stayed at Serendip Stone Bungalow twice, and both visits were great. It's quiet and relaxing, a nice break from the busy city, and the staff consistently provide attentive service. A dependable place to stay in Kandy, especially if you're after a peaceful setting.

The room and washroom layout felt a little dated, and the toilet walls and floor could use an update. A net on the washroom window would also help keep mosquitoes out. Those are the reasons I gave four stars rather than five. What made our stay comfortable and memorable was the management and staff. Their customer service was beyond what I expected, respectful and professional, and they treated families married into foreign nationals with dignity and fairness, without discrimination. That kind of understanding is hard to find. The air conditioning worked perfectly throughout our stay, too. Thanks to the team for such a welcoming experience. I'd happily recommend the hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really loved how calm and quiet it was. The rooms are big and clean, and the outdoor decor looks so nice. Breakfast had lots of options, and the seafood noodles we ordered were especially yummy. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to everyone.

We had a lovely honeymoon here. There was lots of space around the property to sit and wander, and the riverside location was fantastic. Our bed was decorated beautifully. The receptionist was amazing, greeting us warmly and helping us out. The buffet attendant was great too, setting us up at a riverside deck so we could eat with a view. Local music was being sung live, and the singers even came over to our table. The buffet was decent. A few things could be improved: the Wi-Fi was really poor, and the hotel is a bit tucked away. Since it's a nice property, card locks would be better than keys. An internal phone would also help, as currently you have to call through WhatsApp.
