The evening ended with guitar playing and singing along with the host, which made an already lovely experience feel special. The hosts and staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt like home. The meal itself was huge, with unlimited servings. We had soup first, then rice, dal, chicken, and more than 15 kinds of vegetables. The homemade lemonade was delicious alongside it all. Since everything is cooked fresh for the day, we needed to book ahead, and it was well worth it. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Sharon Inn is a peaceful place to stay away from the busy tourist part of town, and they also have a restaurant with local dishes. My top-floor room was quiet and comfortable, with a balcony and lovely views. Everything worked except the WiFi, though I suppose that may be common in Sri Lanka. The owner was kind and accommodating. On my last day he sang and played one of my favourite Beatles songs, and he has a lovely voice. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re after some peace.

The owner is such a sweet man, and he finished the evening by singing and playing guitar. I only wish I’d had room for more of the food. It was a proper feast, with lots of different dishes, all really well prepared, plus a very tasty soup and roti starter. 10/10, would recommend.

I came for the buffet and really enjoyed the delicious vegetarian food, especially for such a reasonable price. The host and staff were fantastic, and there was even some entertainment. It was one of the highlights of my time in Kandy. A must visit!

The food at Sharon Inn is authentic Sri Lankan cooking and really lovely. The host is great, and the jam session at the end was a nice extra. Highly recommended, and worth making time for in Kandy.
