We found an inexpensive, tasty restaurant and a small supermarket just a five-minute walk down the hill, and the city center is also within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet, and the entrance to Udawatta Kele Sanctuary is only about five minutes away on foot. From our balcony, we could watch forest birds in the morning and enjoy a fantastic view of the trees. The room was very good, and the owner was friendly and made a delicious breakfast. We spent three nights here, and it was one of the best stays of our holiday in Sri Lanka. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy.

The balcony was easily our favorite part, especially with that forest view and all the birds. We also spotted monkeys and giant squirrels there. Amona and her family were wonderful, and the room was clean. The water got quite hot, which was better than at most places we stayed in Sri Lanka, even if the shower wasn’t boiling. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the center, but we liked the quiet neighborhood, with restaurants and a grocery store nearby. A small table on the balcony would be a nice addition for reading or working, though it’s no big deal.

The view is amazing, and waking up to nature sounds each day was lovely. I had a hot shower, and although the room only has a fan, that was all I needed. The owner was kind, friendly, and really looked out for me. It’s close to the main city while still away from the hustle and bustle. Get up for sunrise to enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds.

The room was cozy and very clean, and breakfast was delicious. The owners were lovely and helpful, and we had a great stay. It’s very close to the center of Kendy, with a beautiful view. Thanks so much, I’d highly recommend it to everyone!
