A good-value budget guesthouse with staff who speak English and make a good breakfast. It's a little distance from the centre, but you can walk up to the buddha statue in the evening for an amazing city view.

Don't go here. My original iPhone fast charger and Apple AirPods were taken from my room. When I asked the room boy and the owner, they said they didn't know. I suspect someone there took them, since they were the only people besides us during the stay, though I can't be certain. I was left without a charger for weeks during an emergency and really struggled. The two items cost more than 1LK. I can't guarantee a safe stay.
