The Grand Hills Boutique Hotel

Each morning we had a generous, freshly made breakfast served on our balcony, where we could enjoy the breathtaking views and watch birds. Grand hills is a lovely spot for nature lovers. Our room was large, and Nisal was warm, attentive, and made us feel well looked after. We got the quiet of the mountains while still being only a short ride from Kandy's main street and Kandy City Center.

The balcony looked out over endless greenery, and the birdsong, fresh mountain air, and quiet surroundings made it easy to unwind. Grand hills kandy Hotel has a jungle-like setting, but still offered the modern comforts we wanted. Our room was cozy and beautifully designed, with a nice balance of comfort and nature. If you want a peaceful escape from city life and love scenic places, this is a great choice. I left feeling refreshed and would highly recommend it.

The kitchen and dining hall have a dreamy feel, and breakfast was amazing. The food's taste and quality were top-notch. We also got to see how string hoppers are made. It's worth staying at least two days to really experience the place. We loved the calm, the staff's hospitality, and waking up to sunrise with birds, peacocks, squirrels, and other animals roaming around. If you're visiting kandy, put this place high on your list. We had a wonderful stay and will be back.

The ride into town takes about 20 minutes, and the winding road through the hills has lovely views and local people along the way. If you get carsick, sit in front or take a tuk tuk, as there are lots of bends on the way up. We stayed two nights as a family of four, two adults and two children, in room number 3. It was very spacious, with five beds. The views were the best part, and it was so quiet. Schmidt was friendly and helpful, sharing ideas and plans and arranging transport, food, and drinks. If you're after a peaceful place with big rooms and great views and don't mind the drive uphill, this is a good option.
