From our balcony we watched children flying kites at their school, beautiful birds stopping by, and macaques playing on nearby roofs. The top-floor suite was comfortable, with a large private balcony and sweeping views over hills, trees, and neighborhoods. It was such a restful break from Kandy’s bustle. Shanani was a warm, welcoming host who helped us make the most of our time. Her breakfasts were great in a beautifully decorated room, and she even arranged a wonderful dinner on our balcony. Many thanks to her and the staff!

We were two couples and got to try both room types, which were lovely. The service was faultless, and breakfast was freshly cooked at home, with good tea and coffee. It feels like a small family-run boutique place in Kandy. The accommodation is not far from the lake, but a few streets back, so it’s very quiet. Definitely recommend.

The food was a real highlight: a hearty, generous breakfast and a divine dinner. The hosts were genuinely caring and helped with everything we needed. They were flexible about the room, and we ended up with a nice, spacious apartment, a large terrace, and a stunning view. Highly recommended for the great food and thoughtful hospitality.

We were lucky to book through a local company and got the best room, the entire top floor to ourselves, with a huge balcony. Apparently Booking.com charges them 27%, so the best rooms go to direct reservations and Best of Sri Lanka bookings. We went to the T20 and got back very late. The manageress was worried, called our driver, and stayed up until we returned to let us in. Her breakfasts were special, and all the staff were fantastic, as they were everywhere in Sri Lanka.
