Singha Lena Hotel

The rooms were very clean, and the pool was free to use, which was a plus. It's a nice, comfortable place near Katharagama Dewalaya and Kiriwehera. The owner, who manages the hotline, is very nice and seems to run things well. The person managing the place wasn't very friendly at first, though overall it's a good place to stay.

We met Thiss, who was lovely and very helpful. The place itself has potential, but it needs a lot of renovation. The front swing was broken, and it looked like nothing had been renovated recently. The pool was okay, though the area around it wasn't well maintained. Our room had no proper plugs, the TV was broken, and the AC remote didn't work, so we couldn't turn off the AC. There were mosquitoes all over the rooms. I think proper pest control is urgently needed.

It's more of a motel, with spacious rooms and attached bathrooms, including family rooms and larger ones for 4-6 people. There's a clean dining area and a kitchen, and the swimming pool is another feature. Kataragama dewalaya is within walking distance. I wouldn't suggest it if you're after a comfy full day stay, as it isn't built or maintained for that.
