Airport Pearl Garden Transit Hotel

Our host was really helpful, and we appreciated it. We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely stay. The clean, cozy room had a big, comfortable bed, and the location is very convenient for the airport, about a 10-minute drive away. Thanks!

Tessa, the lovely older man who works there, was amazing and made sure guests were looked after. We had a great experience, though the location isn't ideal if you want to eat out. PickMe works for ordering food. The rooms are about five years old, so expect some wear and tear.

The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and the room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the coffee here too. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and for an extra fee they picked us up from the airport despite our late arrival. We could also leave our large backpacks at the property while travelling around Sri Lanka. Highly recommend it if you want to stay near the international airport.

I was charged a full extra day's rent for staying a little past checkout, even though I'd already paid for the day I stayed. It felt like paying twice for one day. The water was overpriced too, double or triple what outside shops charge. The room was filthy and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. There was hair all over the floor, and the blanket was disgusting and clearly hadn't been changed after the previous guest. My skin itched all night. I also felt locals were charged unfairly, and that the poor cleaning might have been because I'm local. Staff greeted foreigners warmly but not locals, which was very disappointing and unacceptable. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. I don't recommend it, especially for local travellers. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
