The staff were warm and friendly, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Breakfast was amazing and the coffee was perfect. The man at reception was especially lovely, greeting us on arrival and making things easy by arranging taxis for the next day. After a long travel day, that made a real difference. Aloe Transit Hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport, so it worked perfectly as our first stop. The free airport pickup was a great bonus since we got in late. We’d definitely stay again.

The breakfast buffet had a memorable selection of authentic Sri Lankan dishes, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout. Aloe Transit Hotel feels like a home away from home, with a spacious, spotless property that’s beautifully kept. The rooms have high ceilings and all the modern comforts we needed. It’s just minutes from the airport, which made it a handy place to rest before or after flying. A wonderful start to our travels and a lovely taste of local hospitality. Highly recommended.

Everyone working here was so friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean with everything I needed. My flight came in super late last night, but the driver still came to pick me up. Definitely recommend.

The room was a good size, with enough space to open our 28-inch suitcase, and the hotel is very new. We stayed here for the first and last nights of our seven-day trip, partly so we could leave one piece of luggage behind. The manager agreed to store it but didn’t mention a charge. When we came back, we were billed 3500 LKR, or 500 per day. That price is reasonable, but we weren’t told ahead of time. If we’d known, we’d have kept the luggage with us and stayed in the city for the last night, since we had a city tour and the hotel is about an hour away, despite being only five minutes from the airport. Everything else was fine.

They’re genuinely lovely people, and the rooftop is a nice spot to dine. We stayed both on arrival and before departure, and had the best breakfast of our trip. The location is great, right near Colombo airport, and the pickup service was excellent, even at midnight.
